I was born January 26, 1956, at the foot of the Ozark Mountains in Missouri. I am the youngest of seven children.
My parents were the charter members of a church called The London Hill Landmark Missionary Baptist Church. I, like
my four brothers and two sisters, was raised in this faith tradition. At the age of 13, I accepted Christ into my
life and was baptized on April 18th, 1969. I started teaching Sunday School at 15 and at 16 I became the treasurer
of the church. A position I held until my marriage. A month after my high school graduation, I married my childhood sweetheart and best friend, Larry Mauser. We have been happily married for 31 years now. God blessed us with three beautiful children, Adam, 30 lives in Layton, Utah with his beautiful wife, Julie Batchelor and their daughter Gracie, age 5 weeks; Heather, 26 lives in Mattydale, New York with her daughter Jasmyn who is seven years old; and Meredith 25, also lives in Mattydale, New York. After mourning the loss of our dream to be a farm family, Larry joined the United States Air Force and attended Officer's Training School. During his military career he was able to obtain his Master's Degree in Family Counseling and Human Services. The family has lived in Texas, California, Montana, Germany, England, Ohio and for the last seven years in New York. Sunny fought accepting the call to ministry by holding many jobs, Tupperware sales, Cashier, sales of pre-arranged funeral plans, school bus driver, substitute school secretary and nurse, office supplies, was the grain broker for the State of Montana's National Farmer's Organization, substitute teacher in the schools for American Children in Germany and England, and church secretary in Ohio. After giving into God and accepting that he was calling her into ministry, Sunny set out on the quest of education. She got her bachelor's degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix, and her Master's of Divinity degree from Colgate, Rochester, Crozer Divinity School in Rochester, New York on May 14, 2005 and became a Probationary Member of the North Central Annual Conference on June 5, 2005. Sunny served a two point charge as a student pastor at Hannibal Center and South Hannibal UMCs for the last six years. She was appointed to Cuba UMC on July 1, 2005. Sunny and her family love the area, and look forward to a long and healthy ministry with the people of the Cuba United Methodist Church.
